Testimonies

Every testimony is a powerful declaration of God’s faithfulness. From miraculous healings and financial breakthroughs to restored families and spiritual renewal, these stories are living proof that the Gospel is active and transformative. We celebrate the victories God has won in the lives of our church family and stand in faith for the miracles yet to come. Explore these accounts of His grace and be encouraged—what He has done for one, He can surely do for you!

I became a part of Victory Churches Int’l of Jamaica in 2013, seeking a deeper relationship with God and a place where I could grow spiritually. From the moment I became a part of this ministry, I experienced sound biblical teaching, loving fellowship, and strong spiritual guidance that greatly impacted my life.

Through the consistent teaching of the Word of God and the encouragement of the leadership, my faith matured and my understanding of God’s purpose for my life became clearer. The church provided an environment where I was able to grow, serve, and develop spiritually.

During this journey, the Lord revealed my calling, which is aligned with Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18.

Over the years, I was blessed to receive training and opportunities to minister. By the grace of God and the support of this ministry, I am now ordained as a Minister.

Today, I have the privilege of serving as the Assistant Pastor, continuing to support the vision of the church and helping to shepherd God’s people. I remain grateful for the teachings, leadership, and spiritual foundation I received here, which have shaped both my ministry and my personal walk with the Lord.

This ministry has truly been a place of transformation, growth, and purpose in my life.

Pastor Tamara Gordon Young

Assistant Pastor

I've been a member of Victory Churches International since childhood. My journey began when my mother got saved and started attending. At the age of 12, I made the decision to accept Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. The church has profoundly shaped my Christian life, thanks to Apostle Clinton Loney and the wonderful members who invested in youths like me. Scriptures like Matthew 6, Daniel 11, and 1 Corinthians became foundational as I learned how to walk with God, see Him, and know Him personally. The teachings have been incredible, and I'm grateful to call Victory Churches my spiritual home, it's truly the place to be for worship and the word.

From Struggle to Salvation

Growing up in the inner city, my early childhood was far from easy. After leaving all-age school without graduating, I reached a crossroads as a young woman. Determined to find a path forward, I enrolled in a training center, which led to my first job. This was the moment my independent life truly began. However, while working, I became pregnant, and that experience forced me to begin looking at my life and my future from a different perspective.

The Call of the Lord

The turning point came one Saturday morning. As I went about my chores, two songs began to play that shook my soul: "Hurry up, get ready to go" and "Are you ready to play your part?" In that moment, the weight of God's presence hit me, and I began to cry. I knew then that the Lord Jesus was dealing with my heart. I got saved in the year 2000, during a three-week crusade held by Victory Church International of Jamaica, I reached the point of total surrender. I gave my life to Christ and was baptized.

Transformation

My walk with God hasn't always been easy, but Jesus has brought me through every trial. I haven't looked back since. Though I have stumbled on this journey, I never stayed down. I rose again through God’s power and strength. A year after my conversion, I was able to attend Victory Bible College and graduated with my diploma. Today, I am honored to serve as a prayer warrior for the Kingdom of God and a woman of the word. The song that perfectly captures my victory: "Satan, you can't catch me again. You held me down for a very long time... now I am free. You come running after me, but you can't catch me again!"

My faith is anchored by deep worship and the strong biblical teachings from our Apostle. This ministry has helped me to know my calling and purpose in which God has created me. Two of my favourite scriptures are: Psalm 40:1-5: A reminder of how God lifted me out of the mud and set my feet upon a rock. Matthew 5:44: The call to love and pray, which fuels my ministry as a prayer warrior.

Thank God for Victory; To God be the glory!
